6 Month Exit Strategy

May 3rd, 2008

The exit strategy is simple.

What can i do do get myself out of the situation I am in?

Essentially, like most budding Internet Marketers, I don’t like my day job. Long hours, crap pay and a boss from outer space leave me feeling…well.. disengaged.

The 6 month exit strategy plays like this:

I’m getting out of the rat race! One month at a time. Using the strategies of internet marketing, coupled with my work ethic, I will pay back my credit card ($4,000) and most of my Line Of Credit (20,000).

Using those resources, I can happily disappear into the never-never and still be able to

pay my mortgages, without stress.

Tools and resources?

I’m using Wealthy Affiliate University and the Grant’s program on ebooks. Also, blogging, creating my own ebook and using affiliate products to generate an income.

Goals by time frame?

All I need to be able to not work, is $100/day.

To be comfortable and travel like a king $200/day.

As I write this, my original investment blog is creating about $30/month. So I need to make an extra $98/day… 3 sales! That’s nothing! But we’ll see!

for more info on my exact personal goals, look at the goals page!

What skills do I need to achieve my goals?

This is an interesting part, and why I have decided not to stop working immediately. I want to travel, really travel. Meet people, know the local culture and scene, not just drop into a town for a week and then disappear. To do this, its best to work! So my plan is to learn some new skills in the next few months and then use these when I travel.

I’m also a keen musician and singer, so I want to be more proficient at these skills so that when I travel I have another creative outlet, and realistically, that’s the job I want to do, but I’m not there yet…. Yet…

Step By Step, 6 month Exit Strategy.

Keep an eye on the blog to see what i actually do here, but essentially i need to:

  1. Find a New Job that pays enough to pay back the cards
  2. Find a Weekend job to pay back the cards.
  3. Create a Niche website, using bum marketing and PPC, to make squillions
  4. Continue learning about new job
  5. Continue learning to play piano & sing in tune
